In the year 2007, Waseda University celebrated the 125th anniversary of its founding by Shigenobu Okuma, scholar and government leader. Waseda is one of Japan's top private, co-educational institutions of higher learning. Founded as a college with three departments under the old Japanese system of higher education, it has since grown to become a comprehensive university with two senior high schools and a School of Art and Architecture.

Named after the world-famous Wright brothers, Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, continues their spirit of innovation. The university serves nearly 17,000 students, offering more than 100 undergraduate and 50 Ph.D., graduate, and professional degrees.

Xi'an Technological University was founded in 1955, the school formerly known as Xi'an 2nd Technical School, upgraded to Xi'an Instrument Industrial College in 1960, upgraded to Xi'an Technical Institute in 1965, upgraded to Xi'an Technological University in 2006.  After 50+ years of development, the school has become a large, distinctive, multidisciplinary university of technology.

Yale University comprises three major academic components: Yale College (the undergraduate program), the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the professional schools. Zhejiang University is a comprehensive national university. Founded in 1897, Zhejiang University was initially known as “Qiushi Shuyuan” (Qiushi Academy), one of the ealiest modern academies of higher learning established in China.
