quick intro
The Institute of Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering was established in 1975. The Institute is the biggest research centre in biomedical engineering in Poland. It is one of two scientific institutions empowered to confer doctoral and postdoctoral degrees in this field.
The scope of research focuses at two major directions: (a) biomeasurements and computer aided data processing and analysis for the purposes of medical diagnosis and (b) enforcing and replacing of lost organism functions by using technical and hybrid (technical-biological) means and taking mathematical and physical modelling of certain organs and physiological systems and their computes simulations into consideration.
