We have an opening in computational systems biology/multiscale modeling.
The primary role of this postdoctoral fellow will be to develop an approach for integrating computational models and experimental data across multiple spatial and temporal scales to investigate plaque progression in atherosclerosis. This project is in collaboration with Dr. Shayn Peirce-Cottler and other researchers at the University of Virginia, including another postdoctoral researcher in the Papin Lab (see separate job post titled “Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Systems Biology/Signaling Network Modeling”).
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Excellent communication skills and a Ph.D. in bioengineering, bioinformatics, chemical engineering, or biochemistry or molecular biology with strong experience in a quantitative field are required. Individuals with computational modeling and experimental systems biology expertise particularly relevant to the current project areas are especially encouraged to apply. The position will remain open until filled. To apply for this postdoctoral position, please send a cover letter specifying the position for which you are applying, CV, brief statement of research accomplishments and career goals, and contact information for three references to Dr. Papin.
