A position is available for a bioinformatics specialist to support the development of a database that integrates a variety of clinical and molecular information for a rare form of cancer called Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma (ACC).
We would like to make this resource available online so that the larger ACC research community can take advantage of existing resources. This project is supported by a grant from the ACC Research Foundation (see http://www.accrf.org/) as part of a collaboration with Dr. Chris Moskaluk in the Department of Pathology.
Location: Charlottesville, VA
In addition to strong undergraduate training in biology/medicine and engineering/computation, applicants for the position should have web development and web security skills, as well as experience with designing relational databases, SQL, and PHP or Perl. The position has funding for one year, with a possibility for longer-term support. To apply, please send a CV to Dr. Papin.
