Designing a biopolymer carrier, non-invasive intravenous introduction and physical test model to stabilize aortic aneurysms

In order to regenerate smooth muscle cell (SMC) tissue around weakened aortic aneurysms, our University of Virginia Capstone Design team aims to: (1) develop a biopolymer nanoparticle/stem cell carrier method for promoting SMC proliferation, (2) invent an intravenous delivery system of biopolymer and/or (3) construct a physical aortic aneurysm model for more rapid testing.
